This one is on my mum.
This is Daisy (nee Mandy) a broodmare from a puppy mill.

Oops... it happened again. 20150822_115750

She arrived yesterday afternoon. I didn't want to take her but my mum just ignored me and had her flown down.
She's 8 years old. She doesn't know how to walk on tiles. She's petrified of being in the house. Her teeth are rotted into her gums. She had a collar on that was so tight I couldn't get a finger in and she barely had any fur underneath it. She is overweight and very unfit.
Used to living outside in a fenced camp with a male companion.

But she smiles when I fuss her. She already cries if I go out of sight.
Last night - after we went to bed she kicked her back legs out, flat on her tummy, cuddled her head onto my arm, gave this huge, contented sigh - I cried.

The rest of the Brats couldn't care. They all gave her a sniff and begged for their dinner.

Oh, POOR little thing crying

But what a lucky little girl that your mum wished her on you!

Except for her poor teeth, she'll be a new dog in no time with your TLC!

She really doesn't know how to just be a dog. I know it'll come right over the next few weeks. She happily runs around with everyone outside so she'll loose the extra weight quickly.
If I take her out for a toilet break during the night she starts shivering and begs to be picked up. I think she's scared she's going to have to give up my bed for outside laughing

She's doing very well now. She's finally learned her name and doesn't fly into everyones food bowls. She waits her turn (3rd). She will now go out on her own and wander the yard. I don't have to be in sight every second.
She is still so 'under developed' compared to my other monsters but at least she's happy.

Hopefully we have some sunny skies over the weekend and I'll get some.
Did you see my professional pics in the gallery Tracy? There's a stunning shot of Xan.
